Visiting South Limburg in the Netherlands is always a good idea! This time I decided it would be fun to explore the hills of Limburg by e-bike. The day started in the town Voerendaal where we picked up our bikes at Roger Flucken. For €25 a day we rented a new VELO DE VILLE AEB 400 e-bike. The owner of the bike shop told us which direction to go for a scenic route and he was right. We encountered beautiful vistas and stopped for photos about every minute along the way.
Route
On the map below you see the starting point of the route; from the bike shop Roger Flucken to the roadside cafe / ice cream place PAULS. From that point you can cycle back through the valley or go to “Bernardushoeve” in Mingersberg where you can sit on the terrace with more stunning views. Unfortunately for us, the inn had to close the terrace for outside visitors due to COVID-19 regulations. Therefor we cycled a bit further South and downhill to the inn “Bie de Tantes” (not on map) for drinks.
At this point we were extra excited about the e-bike, as we went back uphill it took little effort and we even outpaced professional cyclists.

Of course we also had to do this mandatory photo shoot in this field of roses!
