The Canyon of the Lost
From Huacachina I booked a tour to Cañon de los Perdidos. I’m usually not a fan of tours and prefer to explore independently, but sometimes it’s the only option.
First stop at the canyon was a viewpoint from the top, looking down. Next was walking through the canyon itself. Around every corner was a different sight and I was loving that nobody was there besides our group.

My near death experience
After walking through the canyon, we all got back and took our seat in the minivan. The driver got out of the car and the vehicle suddenly started rolling. I was on the first row of the backseat and reached forward to pull the handbrake. Nothing happened! We rolled further and bumped into the only other parked minivan. But if that wasn’t parked there, we would’ve rolled straight into the canyon. Afterwards the driver said to me the handbrake doesn’t function. No shit, they really don’t care about safety here.
