One and a half week ago I started my research internship at Mirabeau. During this internship I will develop photography propositions for this agency so that they can use photography and advise their clients what type of images can integrate into their online campaign.
Mirabeau is a full service internet bureau that works on online concepts for large clients like KLM, ING Bank and TomTom. My internship started at the 7th of February (the same day as my brother’s birthday) and I was received with a warm welcome. My actual mentor Franklin was still on vacation but in the meantime Peet gave me the introduction I needed. I also didn’t have my own desk yet but I ended up confiscating Franklin’s desk.
The first few days I made a planning and a timeline about how I should proceed for the next 16 weeks. To make this timeline I included the milestones form that I received from the Hogeschool Rotterdam.
In the past weeks I already had a few interviews with colleagues at Mirabeau and I planned a few interviews with external companies. Two companies that I will be visiting in the next few days are Hollandse Hoogte and TROS Kompas. In my desk research I found a lot of information about stock photography, creative commons and legal rights about this matter.
The designer’s notebook is the tool I use to write down all the relevant and interesting information. In the past eight days I already scribbled 34 pages full.
I enjoy being a part of this company and I’m looking forward to my personal and professional progress here.
