Join the national water fight
Every month Koh Phagnan attracts thousands of party goers to the island’s biggest attraction; the Full moon party. If this lunar event doesn’t coexist with your holiday planning, there’s also a Half moon party, Black moon party and a couple of others moons or reasons to go all out on this island.
I decided to visit the Half moon party, which takes place in the midst of the jungle. Before getting there, we started with a pre-party at the resort. Everyone came together for pre-drinking and to cover each other’s body with neon paint. When prepped, we all crammed together in a taxi, buckets included to head to the party site.
Don’t be caught by surprise by the unexpected entry of 600 THB which also includes a free drink and CD. (Does anyone still ever play CD’s these days?) Upon entering the premises, what awaits you is a night full of psychedelic trance, neon colors, buckets of drinks and a relaxed atmosphere where everyone is having a good time.
