With all the tropical islands that Thailand has to offer on both coasts, it takes some effort to explore a good deal of them.
On the East coast is the Gulf of Thailand with Koh Chang relatively close to Bangkok. Going down South you’ll find the dive island Koh Tao, the party island Koh Phagnan, the mainstream island Koh Samui and magnificent views on the National Park Ang Thong.
Each of these islands has its own unique character and appeal. All of them are great for relaxing on the beach and touring on a rented motorbike. So far my personal favorite is Koh Tao; the smallest island with a relaxed atmosphere.
The Andaman Sea will receive less personal attention, since only Koh Phi Phi is on the agenda. But hey, even deep blue seas, aquatic life and white beaches get bored after a while 😉
