SAIL Amsterdam 2025
It’s the 27th of April 2023. 10 years ago I stood in the middle of Dam square for the coronation of King Willem-Alexander, and the abdication of our beloved princess Beatrix. In 2013 we moved from Queensday on April 30th to Kingsday on April 27th. Same party, same orange, only different birthday.
Celebrating Kingsday in Amsterdam is the absolute best. Everyone is wearing orange and it’s one major party throughout the city. My absolute favorite way of spending the day is with friends on a boat through the canals. All dressed in orange, all in the party-vibe, sharing food and drinks and lots of joy. Cheers to the King!
