It’s the sixth week and time flies by. Last week has been about stock photos and content creation.
I’ve been briefed for finding stock photos for a particular financial organization. One of the photos needed to be service oriented with the style of the brand in mind. This was the first time for me to check out stock photos and something I could use for my research.
I was surprised how much time it took to find a few decent pictures between all the overly American stocky material. I made a selection and checked it with the senior interaction designer and looked for a few more. Finally I placed the images in the design template for the client to observe. The client had a whole different idea about how the images should look like which will result in a new searching session.
While searching the stock photos I found this to be an art itself. There are a lot of criteria you need to keep in mind while searching while also looking for the right keywords. I hope to develop a method for an easier way to find results. To achieve this I started making a list of concept and brand criteria.
Since my research is about photography within content creation I started to focus more on the creation of content. I should’ve done this earlier in my research but I just found the important connection.
