From Lake Como we drove the car from the town Cernobbio up to Mountain Bisbino. As we came closer to the top the forest grew thicker and the mist intensified. Although a magnificent few of Lake Como was promised, we were lucky if we could see a few meters ahead.
When we finally reached the top of the mountain and parked our car, the temperature declined from 22 degrees to 11 degrees Celsius. Time to put on a sweater and wrap a scarf for extra warmth.
But the mist gave the place a gloomy but mystic feel, we actually liked it. We walked the trail through the dense forest and even crossed the border into Switzerland; a country I’ve never been before.
While we enjoyed our quiet walk we heard cow bells on the fields around us. It was a satisfactory hike!
