During the dark and cold December months, Amsterdam lights up her city with the Amsterdam Light Festival. From the end of November till mid January, various artistic objects in the centre light up to give the city a positive atmosphere.
There are two routes; the water colors, along the Herengracht, and the Illuminade route, close to Waterloopplein. We walked a combination of both routes and I had to take a few photos of these astonishing light shows.
All of the following photos I took without the help of a tripod, I bumped up the ISO to 800 or 1600 and had the help of a F2.0 lens which lets in plenty of light.
