Back on the road again and quite a drive this time. On the scenic route 99 I didn’t mind the long hours in the car, as the landscape changed constantly, one more beautiful than the other. Therefor we took the liberty for several photo stops along the way.
Our trusty vehicle for this trip
Unfortunately we couldn’t visit Joffre Lakes, as I needed to reserve a spot at exactly 7AM two days in advanced, you snooze you lose. I tried fooling the park ranger saying I was a Dutchy not knowing about this, but no exceptions were made 🙁
So, our next stop was Duffey Lake instead. Time to take out my tripod and ND filters to get my favourite milky water effect.
Driving more inland we came through this western style landscape. It really reminded me of the game “Red Dead Redemption”.
Wells Gray Provincial Park
Canoeing
We had 2 days in Wells Gray, on the first we rented a canoe to explore Clearwater Lake. After being on the water for a while, it started to rain and thunder, Yikes! We still had an hour to peddle back but made it out alright.
On the road back we saw this cool mist over the river.
Waterfalls
On the 2nd day we visited several scenic spots, mostly waterfalls.
Spahats Creek Falls
Dawson Falls
Helmcken Falls
When passing this field of yellow flowers, I of course had to stop as well.
