Cruising with the Easy Riders
With over 200 tailors in Hoi An and amazing reviews spread across the web, I was eager to have my own costume made here. Only I wasn’t thinking of a dress or leather jacket, but a black skin tight bodysuit.
Since I’ve been cosplaying for the past 10 years, this could have been the perfect opportunity to have a Black Widow (Avengers) cosplay made. An outfit with no frills and seemingly easy to create.
Oh how I was wrong! I spoke with over a dozen different tailors and they all rejected my request. The outfit was too difficult and nobody had the needed fabrics.
When you need a tailored suit or dress, sure come here. I guess they can help you out perfectly. Want something more specific? Forget it! Some might even laugh at you.
On a positive note, I am pleased that they all admit that they don’t have the knowledge/fabrics to make it, instead of trying to sell. It seems they do want the customers to be satisfied about their work.
