Our Budapest adventure started on a Thursday evening; we took late flight from Rotterdam to our destination Budapest. On our flight we came in contact with Rick who was also going away for the weekend with his friend. Me being the budget-friendly backpacker, suggested to share a cab to the hotel, luckily both parties had an apartment in the same street.
Entering our apartment we were positively surprised by its size. A huge bedroom, separate kitchen and living room, spacious bathroom and separate toilet. All reasonably priced too. I booked Elite Apartments through Booking.com.
After we settled in, it was time to explore Budapest’s nightlife. We texted with the guy from the plane and they were at the popular Szimpla Kert bar. A ruin bar with an underground vibe. We shared some drinks and were awed by our surroundings. When going out in Budapest, this place is definitely worth a visit.
After leaving Szimpla Kert, we decided to walk around a bit and found a long small street full with bars and restaurants. All in close proximity of our apartment in the Jewish quarter. More drinks and some dance moves happened that night before it was time to go back. Tomorrow an early start.
