
Every traveler you meet is just raving about how fun these cooking classes are. This pushed me in trying it out myself.
In the full-day cooking class you get to choose 6 Thai dishes that you’ll make, my choices were; Khaw Soi curry paste, Chiang Mai Noodle, Pad Thai, Spring rolls, Thai herb soup and fried banana. In the morning the group goes to the local food market to buy ingredients. The chef explains which ingredients are popular and why they are being used. After the introduction at the market you’re ready to make and eat your own meal.
Although I never cook anything at home, this sure was a joyful experience. Don’t ask me to recreate these dishes because I know I won’t be able to. But at the end of the day they do give you a recipe book and certificate.
